Hi Allisandra! I read over your post and I'm in a similar situation. I live in Peterborough, Ontario and I know our local public health unit offers assistance with dental costs. Also, there's a new program with the government of Canada (or could be Ontario) that says all neccesary procedures for children will be covered. I'm advising you to try your local health unit first, they should be able to help. If not, they'll know which government program it is that can help. Good luck with your daughter. I have noticed that most people and all information pertaining to this page is dedicated to those in the USA. Does it matter that I am in Canada. I still need help desperately and havn't seen such a great website better yet, a website forum at all.

I hope this doesn't matter, we all suffer with the same issues and pain and need help. I was just wondering if i still qualify 

I am a US citizen and I am looking to move to Canada in the next 8 months.  I don't have a passport yet.  I am basically overwhelmed and don't know where to begin.  If someone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.  I don't know if anyone knows anyone that has made this move that could help walk me through it.  Thank you and God Bless.

Hello.  Our little day program for seniors is going under unless we get some help.  Calgary is booming again and just like the other boom times, seniors, children and the disabled are the ones who lose.  We were renting a little basement space in a run doiwn commercial building, but the rent has doubled.  And this was the only place we could afford!  We are packing but have nowhere to go, because we can't afford the damage deposit and new rent. Please help, even a dollar is a blessing.

The seniors who attend this program have become like family to one another, and regardless of their challenges or disabilities, have made strong friendships and loyalties to the program and to one another.  Please, please don't let their program die.

I already work for next to nothing ( I work 70 hours per week and accept only $400 er month in wages as their director), otherwise I would give up my salary.

My daughter, Allisandra turned 3 on June 4th.  I took her for her first dental visit and was mortified to learn that she needed to go to a specialist due to the current damage.  The specialist (of course charged me an arm and a leg) has propsed an estimate for necessary tretment.  He took x-rays and extracted a tooth that had the root exposed for just under $600 (freezing and gas included).  The outstanding estimate to fix my daughters teeth is $4,700.00.  I was sure this rate was inflated so I took her to another specialist who provided me with an estimate over $5000.  I am in a comprimising position at this point because I can not afford her dental work but it is imparitive that I have the work done immediatly.  I am desperatly hoping and praying that some generous person out there will assist me (Melissa) with my daughters propsed denal work.  I can not even explain how much it would mean to me.

I just got a quote from another dentest and he wants $3606 - I'm so happy to have found a dentest that doesn't insist on overcharging me the only issue now is how I'm going to produce the funds necessary to pay from the proposed dental work.

Hi, I'm a single young mother (23 year's old) of three kids between the ages 1-4. After paying my bills (Hydro, enbridge, phone and rent) I'm short money and I need to buy food and baby supplies. I was wondering if someone could help me with some assistance or support. I want my children to have the life I never had as a child. My brother's and I lived in an abusive environment (physically, emotionally, mentally, and sexually)...my mother made bad choices in life. Bingo and men were more important to her then us. My classmates would tease me because my mother would get our clothes from second handed stores. I was too embarass to have friends over for the night because we had no food, hydro, or heat. I was sexually abused for five year's when I was a child and I would  cry to my mother but she wouldnt listen to me which hurt a lot on the inside. I love my three kids with all my heart and I want my children to be happy and feel loved by me where my mother failed as a parent. I'm trying to get back onto my feet by going back to school to become a Personal Support Worker. So, if someone can help me out with some assistance I would appreciate. I'm not asking for a lot of money just enough to help me get by for the month of September. I need to get some food and baby supplies. I'm willing to make a payment arrangement. My name is Carolyn and I am a university student in Economic and Political Science. I'm in my third year, so I have 1 more year to go. I am coming from a low income family and as you can imagine, I cannot pay my tuition. My father is on welfare... him and my mom are separated and my mom won't help pay for my schooling…
I was refused government help, and I applied for many student lines of credits, but no bank would approve me. They wouldn’t approve me because I have not established credit and because I need someone to co-sign for me. The thing is that with my father on welfare and my grandmother on her pension plan.... they do not qualify to be co-signers.
I am left with nothing right now. So far, I have a part time job that only covers my rent and my food. I have been paying for my tuition with credit cards, and now they are all maxed out and I can barely make the monthly payments....
I want to finish school and do something with my life. I know that once I graduate I can pay back my debts! I need HELP!! I have 1 more year to go... I don't know who to turn to anymore...

I feel really embarassed that i'm doing this but i can't find any other solution. I have lost a front tooth and i'm devastated. I have no dental insurance. I haven't been able to get a high enough paying job to give me any extra money for the tooth replacement. It will cost me around 3000.00! I don't go out and i don't smile at people like i used to, its just so hard to feel good about yourself looking like this. I'm 48 and not bad looking until i smile! This is my last ditch effort to get my finances in order. I have always been a very organized female with my finances. I was working in a successful career. Then the big D hit. DEPRESSION. I was diagnosed with depression back in Sept 2006(have documents for verificatin purposes if required). Lots of things were going on in my life that made it worse, my grandfather was diagnosed with stomach cancer, my grandmother, who just watched my aunt die of cancer in a 3 month period, was put on suicide watch because she was not ready to watch another loved one die. At the same time, I found out my mother had a gambling addiction that she attained to not have to deal with all that was going on, and it was effecting the entire family where she was borrowing and not paying back. This was all happening to my family back home in another province, which left me feeling very guilty and sad, for not being able to help more than I could, and it was down hill from there on out. I continued to work hard for months while I dealt with this new diagnoses. I struggled to get out of bed everyday, I just didnt want to live anymore, while my whole family was suffering back home. Then it got worse, I had to quit my job back on April 9th (have documents for verifiation purposes if required), due to the inability to function due to my depression. I was crying every day and barely able to get out of bed, depression hurts. My bills ran up to over $10k, as I had to pay rent, school fees, utilities and make sure my daughters was fed, all on credit. I am now on the road to recovery under a physicians care, but not working for the last 3 months has put me in a big financial hole that I cannot get out of, which is putting me back into the deep dark depression.

PLEASE HELP ME. Any financial help will help with my depressing debt. A loan/donation as small as $5.00 or more would be a great start.  I am willing to work out a repayment plan with anyone willing to help me out of this desperate situation.   PLEASE HELP. NEED HELP FAST. Repossesion of my belongs is due to happen any day now.
